Twin Palms Inspections
Inspector Certifications
Trained and Experienced
Our inspectors are Certified Professional Inspectors CPI® trained by InterNACHI—the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (www.NACHI.org)—which is the world's largest nonprofit association of residential and commercial property inspectors that provides education, training, and certification.
All InterNACHI-Certified Professional Inspectors CPI® are required to pass an Inspector Exam, follow a comprehensive Standards of Practice, abide by a strict Code of Ethics, and take accredited Continuing Education courses each year in order to maintain their membership in good standing.
In order to become certified, our inspectors were required to take inspection courses related to the interior and exterior of the home, including the common and major areas of concern for home buyers, such as the foundation, heating and cooling, roof, plumbing, and electrical systems. Our inspectors are graduates of the InterNACHI® School, the world's only home inspector college that offers the nationally-accredited Home Inspector Certificate Program.
Buying a home is typically the biggest investment you will ever make, so it's important to get a home inspection because the inspector can find and document defects that may or may not be evident to you. Such defects can range from simple replacements or repairs to severe damage or safety and health concerns.
About Your Home Inspector
Bill Gillum, Owner and Inspector at Twin Palms Inspections.
I have been a homebuilder for nearly 40 years, working on both new construction and remodeling. I have also been a Professional Home Inspector for the past 7 years, and owned a Home Inspection business in Ohio. I now live in Naples and own Twin Palms Inspections.
My background as a Home Builder gives me unique insight on an Inspection. I look at a house from a different prospective than an “Inspector” who just sat thru some classes.
I have also received the coveted CMI, Certified Master Inspector Designation, which only a handful of Inspectors achieve. Since I have repaired all aspects of a home, I look at a defect and see the true issue, what caused it and how to fix it. This gives the buyer a true picture of the home’s condition. And it gives the Buyers Agent something solid that they can negotiate with the Seller in behalf of their client.
Knowledge is power and that power can mean thousands of dollars for your clients. Give me the opportunity to work for your client and help them protect their biggest investment as they buy a new home.
Backed by the Honor Guarantee
InterNACHI® is so certain of the integrity of our members that we back them up with our $25,000 Honor Guarantee.
InterNACHI® will pay up to $25,000 (USD; maximum collective aggregate) for the cost of replacement of personal property lost (and not recovered, restituted, or insured) during an inspection and stolen by an InterNACHI®-certified member who was convicted of or pleaded guilty (or no contest) to any criminal charge resulting from the member's taking of the client's personal property. The claimant agrees that the exclusive venue for any action against InterNACHI® arising out of this Honor Guarantee is the District Court in Boulder County, Colorado. InterNACHI's Honor Guarantee is valid throughout the U.S. and Canada.
